All of Zeal Optics’ sunglasses are built with a focus on reducing their footprint, from their manufacturing processes to the materials used in the frames, lenses, nose pads and more. Following are the new styles launching today for Spring/Summer 2023:
  • Cumulus and Hondo are two new sporty styles that expand the brand’s See Grass Collection. Cumulus is a nod to a classic Wayfarer, while Hondo is a throwback to the future with an angular, fashion-forward design. See Grass sunglasses are made of 70-percent recycled plastic and 30-percent grass fibers in a closed-loop system powered by renewable energy to create unique, durable frames with our lowest environmental impact to date. They also feature the brand’s proprietary Ellume Polarized lenses, which are made from a plant-based polymer and feature premium Japanese polarization. MSRP $179.
  • SkywayFillmore and Hawker are three new styles added to Zeal Optics’ Metals Collection, an eco-friendly take on metal sunglasses. Skyway and Hawker are aviator-inspired styles, while Fillmore is an oversized geometric metal sunglass with a fashion-forward flare. From frame to lens to nose pads, these sunglasses use sustainably-focused materials including recyclable stainless steel, as well as Hexetate, an eco-friendly, recyclable material that is BPA-free and lighter than traditional plastics and acetates. These sunglasses also feature the brand’s plant-based Ellume Polarized lenses, and ceramic nose pads engineered from a mixture of clay and earthen materials. All metals are MSRP $199.
These styles represent Zeal Optics’ commitment to constantly improving the quality of its products, while reducing its impact on the environment. All of these styles are available in prescription as well, through Zeal Optics and its sister company Maui Jim’s zero-waste lab. They are available online at zealoptics.com
