You Look Great: Planks & Melon Announce Limited Edition Sunglasses

 At Planks, makers of proper good ski gear, they’re stoked to announce an exciting new collaboration with friends at Melon Optics to release a super exclusive number of limited edition sunglasses, ideal for the sport of your choosing!

Founded in 2013 because they found eyewear plain boring, Melon has grown into a community of shred lovers across the globe. 

From humble roots selling their first goggles to friends in Après bars Melon has evolved to bring custom eyewear to anywhere with a shipping service across the globe as well as to some of Mountain Biking and Snow Sports most awesome retailers.

From skiers, to snowboarders, to mountain bikers and all the obscurity in between, Melon exists to champion individuality and help put more of you into your eyewear.

As part of their first endeavour into mountain biking, cycling and beyond, and Melon’s first ever collaboration with a skiwear brand, they were invited to put Planks' stamp on a pair of one of its most popular performance glasses, the Kingpin. Combining Planks’ signature steeze with Melon’s eyewear expertise, they’ve created a product that delivers bucket loads of style and substance. 

Whether you’re riding two planks, two wheels, or you’re using your own two feet Planks has got you covered. The limited edition Planks design will be available with either a Smoke or Red Chrome lens made by one of the top lens manufacturers in the world, ZEISS. We’ve even included a little reminder in the form of an engraved slogan to let you know that “You Look Great”, because we know you can never be told enough. 

For skiers and snowsport lovers, the Red Chrome lens is your best friend on a cloudy day. The Smoke lens on the other hand will be your go to if you’re looking for maximum versatility and multisport usage.

Both lenses are impact resistant, anti-scratch, water repellent, anti-reflective and provide 100% UV protection. What’s more, the high-definition ZEISS Snow Performance Lenses help reduce the amount of blue light entering your eyes, giving you optimum visuals on your surroundings so you can shred hard in all conditions.
