X Games Names Olympian Jeremy Bloom New CEO
X GAMES has announced that three-time men’s skiing World Champion Jeremy Bloom will return to his winter sports roots as CEO of the X Games. Through Bloom’s leadership and experience, the organization will look to strengthen the games across areas such as athlete engagement, global expansion, fan experience, and community outreach as it transitions to a cutting-edge league structure.
Bloom’s appointment comes on the heels of X Games’ recent announcement of unprecedented growth and the evolution of Winter and Summer leagues since its acquisition by MSP Sports Capital (“MSP”). With MSP’s guidance, X Games is poised to transform into year-round international competition in league structures that will enable athletes to earn compensation well beyond the $2.4 million already awarded through existing prize purses. Teams will be a vital component of the new X Games League (“XGL”). Each team will be composed of athletes from multiple disciplines who will compete for individual and team points to earn both individual and team prize money. Under MSP’s leadership over the last two years, the property has seen a 113% increase in streaming audiences and 2.4 million new social followers.
“We are thrilled to welcome Jeremy as the leader of X Games,” said Jeff Moorad, Partner at MSP & Executive Chairman of X Games. “His dedication, athletic experience and proven track record of building and managing successful companies will be instrumental in continuing to elevate our X Games properties and the X Games League.”
“Jeremy’s unique perspective as both an athlete and a business leader gives him deep understanding of what drives athletes and how to provide the best fan experience,” said Jahm Najafi, Partner & Chairman at MSP. “Jeremy’s vision and leadership will be pivotal in shaping the future of X Games and XGL, including fostering growth while staying true to the spirit and culture that make it so iconic.”
Bloom, has experienced nothing but success as an athlete, entrepreneur, and philanthropist. On the gridiron, he found equal stardom and success. An All-American at the University of Colorado, he was drafted as a wide receiver and return specialist for the 2006 Philadelphia Eagles and played for the Pittsburgh Steelers.
In 2010, he co-founded and served as CEO of the B2B enterprise software company Integrate, which reached unparalleled success and was acquired by Audax Private Equity in 2022. He stayed on as CEO until stepping aside to move into his role with the X Games, however, he continues to hold a seat on the company’s Board of Directors. Additionally, Bloom has served on the board of trustees for U.S. Ski and Snowboard for the past seven years.
Bloom founded a non-profit, Wish of a Lifetime, in 2008 in honor of his grandmother. Wish of a Lifetime was acquired by AARP in 2020, with Jeremy sitting as the current chairman of the board.
“The opportunity to lead the X Games is more than just a professional milestone—it’s a deeply personal honor. Returning to my roots in sports and action sports, in particular, feels like coming home,” said Bloom. “The X Games is an iconic brand, and I have immense admiration and respect for our athletes, who are truly the best in the world.
I’m excited to work with the team to further elevate the X Games and build the largest action sports leagues in the world, creating platforms that celebrate our athletes and inspires our fans around the world.”
