Wolf Creek Welcomes "The Most Snow In Colorado"

After a dry December compared to the 2022-2023 ski season, January in Colorado is off to a great start with a powerful storm gifting 29 inches of fresh powder for skiers and boarders!  Conditions are powder and packed powder with unmarked obstacles.

Wolf Creek's all-natural midway base is 55 inches!  The year-to-date snowfall total final crept over the 100 inch mark and is now sitting at 113 inches.  All lifts are operating from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. with 100% of all terrain open!  Lift tickets are at regular rates: $89 for adults, $58 for seniors and $44 for children.

Wolf Creek Ski Area is known for getting copious amounts of snow in the winter time. While on average the area receives around 430 inches of snow during a given season, Wolf Creek Ski Area's history includes several outlier snow years. For example, during the 1978-1979 snow year, Wolf Creek Ski Area was given a plentiful 807 inches of snow, which happens to be the record for the most snowfall ever fallen in one season in Colorado. The following year of 1979-1980 Wolf Creek received 730.5 inches of snow. And there are rumors Wolf Creek had another monster snow year in the early 1940s as well

Lift tickets are available for pre-purchase at shop.WolfCreekSki.com.  New Lift Ticket Pickup Boxes (kiosks) in the Base Camp Lodge now make pre-purchased tickets convenient for guests by giving the option of skipping the main Ticket Office.  Regular adult, senior and children lift tickets can be printed at the kiosks.
