Will Treves Named CEO Of Aspenware
Aspenware announced that Will Treves has been appointed as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective July 29, 2024. Co-owned by Alterra Mountain Company and Aspen Skiing Company since 2022, Aspenware has spent over two decades providing innovative technology solutions to the ski industry. Today, the company powers ecommerce and digital guest-experience solutions for over 50 ski resorts in multiple countries.
Treves’ 20-year career spans consumer-facing technology businesses, including a decade-long stint at IAC, where he was CEO of Ask Applications, one of the world's largest publishers of downloadable software and desktop applications. In addition, he held strategic roles in the video game industry with PlayStation and Atari. Most recently, he spent three years as the Chief Operating Officer of Rodo, an online car-buying marketplace that allowed customers to lease or finance a new vehicle in minutes through an end-to-end ecommerce transaction.
“We are delighted to welcome Will as the new CEO of Aspenware,” said Jared Smith, CEO of Alterra Mountain Company. “Adding such an experienced technology professional to the company’s deeply talented team will enable it to continue to innovate and grow for years to come.”
Originally from London, Will began skiing in the Swiss, French, and Austrian Alps at the age of five. He has lived in the United States for many years and now resides just outside New York City. Still an avid skier, Will enjoys hitting the slopes with his wife and three children.
“I am excited to join Aspenware and lead this talented team,” said Will Treves, CEO of Aspenware. “Together, we will build on the strong foundation and drive the next phase of growth and innovation for our loyal ski and snowboard customers around the world.”
Rob Clark, who served as Aspenware CEO from 2020 to 2023, will remain as Aspenware’s Chief Revenue Officer.
