Wilder Kaiser Offers Corona Virus Rebooking Guarantee
This spring is different than we all imagined - or could have ever imagined. Instead of welcoming the awakening nature outside, it's currently #DahoamStaying worldwide. Also or especially for tourism and all companies that are linked to the industry, the complete shutdown of public life and the closing of the borders has drastic effects. The accommodation facilities throughout Austria are closed until further notice, no one can say for sure when regular operations will start again.
That is why it is now a top priority for the Wilder Kaiser Tourism Association to give local entrepreneurs and guests security in these turbulent times. “We are currently working flat out on a number of measures that are intended to help both guests and local companies and their employees to get through the crisis in the best possible way. Because tourism is not an end in itself. Tourism is there to make people in the region well. And that currently means: We want to give local companies and guests as much security as possible, ”says Lukas Krösslhuber, Managing Director of TVB Wilder Kaiser.
The measures at a glance:
>> The rebooking guarantee - security for guests
Everyone longs to enjoy nature again soon, but also for planning security. In order to enable both guests of the Wilder Kaiser region to do so, the so-called “Wilder Kaiser Rebooking Guarantee” was created. This means that guests can rebook or cancel all vacations for summer 2020 that have been or will be booked through the Wilder Kaiser tourism association up to a week before arrival. The goal is that the planned date is canceled, but not the holiday itself.
>> Implementation guarantee for the active program - security for partners
But not only guests need security: Above all, those people who make up the region's tourist offerings must have a perspective for the summer. That is why the TVB Wilder Kaiser has decided to issue a "guarantee of implementation" for all program points of the active program, which are offered in summer by the TVB in Ellmau, Going, Scheffau and Söll. That means: Should an activity of the summer program - eg. a guided hike - the minimum number of participants cannot be reached, the activity will still take place. In this case, the TVB pays the minimum number of participants. In addition to the implementing partners, guests can also look forward to a secure summer program.
>> Give anticipation - strengthen the regional economy
Speaking of anticipation: vacation, time in nature and in the mountains, we will all have earned so much this year as never before. And if you want to do something good for your loved ones during this time, you can "give anticipation". You don't even have to go to a supermarket - at www.wilderkaiser.info you can buy and give away “Wilder Kaiser vouchers” online. They can be redeemed at numerous partners in the region - from hotels to sports shops. Not only the recipient of the gift is happy about this campaign, but also the regional economy. By the way: Regional companies can become “Wilder Kaiser Voucher” partners at any time!
>> Close despite distance: We keep in touch
With the Wilder Kaiser in the window, any quarantine is easier to endure. But many people do not currently have this luxury - that's why the TVB Wilder Kaiser delivers nature to everyone who enjoys it. Be it with the “Vacation in the Head” videos on Facebook (tours or drone flights through the region), daily Instagram stories that are supposed to sweeten the life of people in their own four walls a little - for example through regional recipes - or handicrafts - Instructions on the Wilder Kaiser Blog that show how to turn a few rolls of toilet paper into a “Wilder Kaiser Zoo” with children, however there may well be better uses for a few rolls of Andrex...
These "measures" will not have been the last. Until these challenging times are overcome, one or the other creative idea and above all cohesion will certainly be necessary. "Even if we are currently facing a situation for which there is no empirical value: The Wilder Kaiser region has been committed to improving the quality of life in the region for everyone for years," Krösslhuber refers to the "Strategy 2024" of the TVB Wilder that is currently appropriate Emperor. "The current discussions show us that we recognized the signs of the times years ago and took the right path. Especially in times when Tyrolean tourism is generally suspected by the media, we want to continue to be a role model in terms of sustainability and cohesion. "
