What’s New At Winter Park This Winter
There are a range of upgrades slated for the coming season at Winter Park. They say:
What’s new at Winter Park for the 23/24 season? We’re excited to tell you! While summertime lends itself to longer days and hitting the high alpine trails, we’ve still been dreaming about Pano views and fresh powder stashes– and working hard to make sure that you have the best season ever as the snow begins to fall. Read about our recent upgrades and get excited for winter 23/24. It’s on the way!
- Upgraded Lift Serving Vasquez Ridge Love skiing or riding at Vasquez Ridge? We can’t wait for you to ride a new lift all the way up! This summer, a high-speed, six-person chairlift called the Wild Spur Express has been in the works. This lift will have a 2,800 person per hour capacity and includes a new mid-point loading zone, allowing for quicker laps on upper intermediate and advanced trails. (Psst: ready to ride? The new lift is expected to open late November or early December, depending on conditions.)
- New Employee Housing This brand new employee housing complex, named Conifer Commons, broke ground in the spring of 2022 and is expected to be completed mid-Fall. (Fun fact: with 330 new beds, the project is one of the largest workforce housing projects to be completed in Colorado this year!). With Conifer Commons located close to the resort, employees living there will be able to walk to work while also accessing other important services such as The Lift public transportation that can take them throughout the valley.
- More Ways To Grab Fresh Tracks We heard you when you said you wanted to level up your skills quickly and get back out on the mountain with your friends! That’s why we’re offering 60-Minute Pro Tips for $99 this winter for intermediate and advanced skiers and riders looking for quick one-on-one tips and tricks to improve their skills in the morning before their day on the mountain truly begins. Bonuses include: fresh tracks, quickly improving your skills with an expert Ski + Ride Instructor, and gaining high-value private lesson attention for less.
- Learn More About 60-Minute Pro Tips Additionally, new this season, skiers and riders can add an Early Ups pass to their season pass or day ticket and gain up to 30 minutes of early lift access– which means more time with your favorite terrain before anyone else. Quantities are limited, so get your Early Ups before they run out!
- New Places to Refuel (On and Off The Mountain) Sundog Tap Room is a new community-centric tap room and dining experience opening this winter in the heart of the Village. The main highlight? A grand tap wall (complete with over 30 taps!) where you’ll be able to serve yourself and try local Colorado brews among standard favorites. While you’re telling stories after your day on the slopes, you can enjoy some cocktails, wine, and sharable bar nibbles, too. Additionally, we’re bringing more snacks to you around the mountain! Say hello to four new on-mountain pop-up dining spots designed to meet you right where you are when hunger strikes– meaning you can grab something quickly to fuel the rest of your day on the slopes (think grilled cheese, Philly Cheesesteaks, walking tacos, and quesadillas– yum!). These pop-ups are planned for the top of the new Wild Spur Express lift, the bottom of the Olympia lift, the Mary Jane base area, and another just outside Lunch Rock at the top of the Super Gauge lift, so keep an eye out for them this winter!
- New Ways To Get Your Gear We’re consolidating our premium and demo rental experience in a brand new location called Zero Creek Gear House adjacent to the Gondola, making it the most convenient spot to grab your premium or demo gear and hit the lifts. And if you’re more excited for your gear to come to you, you’re in luck! Ski Butlers is coming to Winter Park this season. Here’s how it works: wherever you happen to be staying, Ski Butlers provides selection, fittings, gear drop-off and pick-up, and on-mountain support, creating a simple and convenient rental experience for everyone.
