Boyne Highlands Announces Main Lodge Renovation Plans
The iconic and majestic Main Lodge is leading a formative new direction for Boyne Highlands Resort and its quintessential northern Michigan experience.  The transformation to an upscale, luxury hotel will begin during the 2019/20 season and take place in four phases.  When complete, 85 newly well-appointed rooms and suites will feature refined elegance through the use of textures, patterns, and metals in deep, earthy tones and wood focal points.  The renovation also includes a multi-level European-style spa facility, reimagined restaurants, modernized conference facilities, swimming complex, and more.  For the complete timeline and visual representations, visit highlandsfuture.com.

New Pass Products 
Boyne Highlands has rolled out the Happiness Card for the 2019/20 season offering a preloaded and reloadable one-, three-, and five-day lift ticket card. A one-day card is priced at $89 and includes 15% off future lift ticket purchases; the three-day card is $139 and provides 20% off lift tickets; and a five-day card is $189 providing 25% off lift tickets. Tickets can be used consecutively or non-consecutively; holiday blackouts apply. The Cool Kids Pass, priced at $149 for ages 6-12 within a regional five-county area, is now unlimited during the 2019/20 season.  Passholders can take advantage of a newly revamped Skier Services office, located adjacent to the Day Lodge lift ticket windows, as the hub for all passholder communications and events.  For complete details or to purchase passes online, visit boynehighlands.com/passes.  

Scanning Comes to Boyne Highlands
Boyne Highlands will begin using scanning technology on four lifts this season: Heather Express, Challenger, Amy's, and Interconnect. Lift tickets and season passes will be scanned streamlining and securing access to lifts.  The use of scanning is the first step toward the resort's plans to utilize technologies to improve time to lift as well as tailor products and communications based on guest use of the slopes. 

SnowSports Academy Introduces Terrain Based Learning 
The Boyne Highlands' SnowSports Academy learning area will become a Learn to Turn Zone with emphasis on Terrain Based Learning  this season. The industry award-winning Terrain Based Learning program focuses on a fun-first approach and uses shaped snow for teaching with a perfect slope, banked turns, mini-pipe, and roller.

New Racing Events & Old Favorites Return  
A new family relay race, the Homecoming Hot Cocoa Hustle, is taking place on January 25 during Homecoming Weekend, along with the return of the popular Highlands Downhill on January 26.  A skier/boarder cross has also been added to the line-up during the Bacon & Bourbon Bash on January 19.
