VONBLON: Full Power, No Emissions: The New Polaris Ranger Kinetic
Long awaited and successfully implemented in a very short time: The launch of the new Ranger Kinetic from Polaris, the first type-approved battery UTV for alpine use, marks a significant advance in technology and sustainability. Since October 2023, the emission-free Ranger Kinetic has been tirelessly impressing ski resorts and tourist regions. With the first series production of a fully electric all-wheel drive transporter, Polaris is not only demonstrating its technical lead, but is also revolutionizing the alpine transport industry together with the dealer and importer Vonblon with the quiet, battery-powered Kinetic models.
The Creation of the Ranger Kinetic
Polaris first presented the concept of the Ranger Kinetic with electric drive in 2020. Three years later, in April 2023, the official presentation took place at the Interalpin in Innsbruck by Polaris distributor Vonblon Maschinen GmbH. The response was overwhelming: the first Kinetic Ranger models were delivered immediately, and in the first winter 30 of these innovative vehicles were in use in the Alpine region. The battery models were successfully placed not only in Austria and Germany, but also in South Tyrol.
Convincing performance and environmentally friendly technology
The feedback from all regions is unanimously positive. The powerful battery-powered Ranger impresses with its impressive performance. The electric motor offers 110 hp and a torque of 190 Nm. Under optimal conditions, the Ranger Kinetic achieves a range of up to 130 km in wheel operation or a working time of more than 3 hours (Ultimate model with 30 kWh). Good ranges have also been achieved for crawler operation with a cabin and heating - more than sufficient for most hut operations.
Versatility and robustness – RENTAL EQUIPMENT
The Ranger Kinetic is a real extreme transporter. With its enormous payload and towing capacity, it can handle even the most difficult conditions, where even petrol Rangers reach their limits. Support from Polaris and the importer Vonblon also includes rental equipment for the winter of 2024/25. Charging is done flexibly via Type II plugs, 230 V or 400 V connections.
Sustainability and Renewable Energies
The Ranger Kinetic is a significant step towards a fossil-free region and the use of 100% renewable energy sources. The importer Vonblon is also committed to sustainability: With over 130 kWp on the roof and already ten electric cars in the company's fleet, Kinetic Rangers are also used in daily operations.
Legal recognition and possible uses
The Ranger Kinetic is classified as a wheeled vehicle and approved as an EU tractor for a maximum speed of 60 km/h. The winter version with Tatou snowcats is also approved for road use and is permitted to travel at 25 km/h on public transport in Austria and Germany. The whisper-quiet operation makes the Ranger Kinetic ideal for use as a cross-country ski trail groomer, hut transporter and winter taxi, especially in sensitive environments.
maintenance benefits and comprehensive service offering
Another advantage of the Polaris Ranger Kinetic is the low maintenance requirements. Without an engine, oil, filters, clutches, belts or variable transmission, many wearing parts are eliminated, which significantly reduces operating costs. In addition to the new Ranger Kinetic models, Polaris offers a wide range of commercial vehicles with petrol and diesel engines, from two-seaters to six-seaters. In Nüziders you will find new equipment, used equipment and numerous rental equipment for the season. Service centers are available in Austria and South Tyrol to ensure comprehensive service.
The Polaris Ranger Kinetic ushers in a new era in alpine transport. Full of power and zero emissions, this innovative vehicle offers an environmentally friendly and efficient solution for a wide range of mountain applications. Polaris and Vonblon are setting new standards in terms of sustainability, performance and versatility.
