VIP Ski Adds Sparkle To Its Luxury Accommodation In St Anton With New Chalet Cristal
Boutique tour operator, VIP SKI, is thrilled to add a third St Anton chalet to its portfolio for the 2018/19 season. Sleeping up to 14 people in seven bedrooms, Chalet Cristal will join Haus Gamskar and Haus Hochkar in the celebrated Tyrolean ski resort that lies in Austria’s largest extended ski area.
Thanks to its size, the imposing stone-and-timber chalet is a comfortable choice for a larger family or group of friends planning a ski trip in the Arlberg region. The chalet is situated just a few minutes’ walk from the Rendlbahn lift and ski hire shop where VIP SKI has arranged boot warmers and ski lockers for all of its guests. A couple of minutes further, skiers will find themselves at the main Galzigbahn lift station or in the thick of St Anton’s renowned nightlife.
Inside, Chalet Cristal is stylishly simple and fuss-free in design with timber walls and clean lines. The open-plan living-dining area provides a sociable space in which to relax before guests are served a hearty three-course evening meal. The chalet also boasts a sauna with a small relaxation area and there is off-road parking for those looking to drive to St Anton.
St Anton itself offers the ultimate balance of a traditional village atmosphere, challenging skiing and brilliant après ski, as well as plenty of exciting activities to keep children entertained off the slopes. The village is home to an impressive 4.3km natural toboggan run, an ice skating rink, bowling alley and a climbing wall. In addition, the sports centre includes three swimming pools with one specially designed children’s pool.
Adventurous intermediates and expert skiers will love the long, exhilarating runs from Valluga as well as the world-class off-piste. Skiers can also enjoy some of the highest altitude skiing in the Alps with a vast network of cable cars and lifts that include skiing in the exclusive resorts of Lech, Zürs, St. Christoph and Stuben. The village itself sits at 1305m but Valluga, at 2810m, is effortlessly reached via one of the largest cable cars in Austria, guaranteeing snow throughout the season. Non-skiers are also in for a treat with a superb network of walking paths and many other snow related activities.
Revellers can indulge in the party atmosphere of this legendary ski resort at the Krazy Kangaruh, Mooserwirt or Heustadl which offer live music on the piste, before descending to the village for more fun at Picadilly’s, The Gampen bar and Scotty’s.
