Verbier: Pasay Detachable 6-seater Chairlift Inaugurated
Téléverbier has inaugurated the Pasay detachable 6-seater chairlift and the new restaurant at the mountain station.
These new infrastructures are an integral part of the strategic development of the Bruson sector and make it possible to significantly improve the comfort for guests of the Verbier 4Vallées ski area.
The Pasay chairlift, put into operation last winter, has already proved its worth in this sector, to the delight of skiers. The Swiss manufacturer Bartholet was commissioned to build this detachable six-seater chairlift, which serves the legendary Pasay slope. Today, this facility offers twice the capacity of the old 3-seater chairlift with a fixed clamp. Travel time has been reduced from thirteen minutes to just five minutes.
Emphasis has been placed on comfort, the seats feature padding to resist cold and wind and are designed by the "Porsche Design Studio" and offer an extremely comfortable seating surface.
In total, over CHF 13 million has been invested in the Bruson sector and there are plans to build a new chairlift to the Col de Chargerat soon.
