Vans Leads With Verse Snowboard Boot . Purpose-Built By Legendary Rider Bryan Iguchi
Building on a quarter century of heritage and progression in snowboarding, Vans is proud to present the Bryan Iguchi signature Verse, a boot informed by the Jackson, Wyoming-based shred legend.
The Verse is often regarded as one of the most versatile technical-terrain, high-performance, double BOA boots available today—and with good reason. It’s more than capable of backcountry missions and is plenty comfortable destroying resort groomers. Weaving together Bryan’s lifetime of backcountry experience with Vans’ unbridled creativity, the Verse is built to perform with all-day support and comfort. Bryan’s influence and knowledge in snowboarding extends beyond his riding, helping to deliver the most responsive and supportive boot in Vans’ line.
The Verse was built to optimize the precision and power of the Boa Closure system, utilizing Vans Custom Focus Plus construction and featuring the micro-adjustability of Boa in a dynamic, dual-zone configuration. This system ensures unlimited, on-the-fly flex control —allowing the boot to be adjusted quickly for uphill travel and before the descent—as well as superior heel hold for the most demanding riders.
Fortified with the V3 Ultracush/The North Face™ FlashDry™ Liner, the Verse features Vans’ premium liner that moves moisture to the surface layer and eliminates it as quickly as possible. A V3 POPCUSH™ Footbed built with a triple-density, 3D-molded, anatomically shaped and PU-blended footbed and TPU arch-support clip provides added stability and torsional flex. A top sheet of open-cell foam promotes airflow under and around the foot for all-day warmth and dryness.
Exterior features include the V3 Ultimate Waffle Outsole, Vans’ top-of-the-line outsole with our widest range of versatility and performance. A waterproof zip-up shroud and D-ring protect from snow and ice, while one-way breathable valves help control temperature and moisture inside the boot.
The Vans’ Flex Control System’s removable, high-rebound Hytrel tongue stiffeners allow riders to custom tune their boot flex. Keep both in for maximum support, use just one for increased lateral or medial response, or take both out for a softer-flexing boot.
Bryan’s custom black and gray colorway is also featured in the UltraRange EXO Hi Gore-tex MTE shoe, a versatile blend of comfort, get-you-there features, and MTE’s protection from the elements. This new silhouette combines UltraRange’s signature comfort UltraCush foam cushioning mid-sole with traction from MTE’s reverse lug outsole, built using Van’s original waffle rubber compound.
This Deep Winter version is engineered with a classic Gore-Tex bootie construction. Gore-Tex has been an innovator and industry leader in waterproof and breathable technology for decades, and its “Guaranteed to keep you dry” promise is trusted in all conditions. Additionally, a 100g insulation package has been added for a higher level of warmth and comfort. This modern, all-condition silhouette is required equipment for any winter weather adventurer.
The Verse collection is also supported by a Vans x Smartwool snowboard sock with Indestructawool technology, an almost-seamless toe, and activity-specific mesh lines. The sock features Bryan’s artwork along the calf in his signature black and gray colorway.
Bryan Iguchi has remained one of the most influential and inspiring forces of style, creativity and community culture in snowboarding over the past two decades. A key player in the skate-driven style revolution of the early ‘90s, Bryan’s legacy spans the twenty years he’s spent circling the globe on the hunt for untracked powder.
Based in Jackson, Wyoming, “Guch” has built an enduring career through riding and filming with the world’s best, passing along his infectious positivity and extensive backcountry knowledge to the next generation.
