Valdez Heli-Ski Guides Purchases Alaska Rendezvous Lodge

Valdez Heli-Ski Guides (‘VHSG’) announced its acquisition of Alaska Rendezvous Lodge (‘ARL’) on November 24, 2023.. They say:

Alaska Rendezvous Lodge has always been close to Tsaina Lodge, both figuratively and literally. In 2000, after guiding with Doug and Emily Coombs at Valdez Heli-Ski Guides, Theo Meiners founded his own helicopter skiing operation, just 10 miles from the Tsaina at Alaska Rendezvous Lodge.

Surrounded by majestic peaks, Alaska Rendezvous Lodge, like Tsaina Lodge, enjoys the "Blue Hole" weather effect. This results in a historically high number of flyable days for the Alaska heli-ski season. These two strategic locations, in the heart of the Chugach Mountains, also offer the shortest flying distances to the state’s, and perhaps the world’s, best ski runs.

VHSG is proud to announce the purchase of the Alaska Rendezvous Lodge, with the ambition to build on its greatness. We intend to make our second location an exciting new destination, with luxury yurts, great restaurant and bar, and all the high-end standards that already apply to the Tsaina Lodge.
