“Val Thorens, the ultimate resort from many perspectives, is famous for unbeatable skiing in the best possible setting. We are proud of this and that of the pioneers, whose work we modestly aim to perpetuate and promote across the world. Last year was our 50th anniversary. And the story doesn’t end there...Constantly evolving since its creation, Val Thorens never ceases to question itself,to modernise, embrace new challenges in order to achieve its one and only goal: to ensure holidaymakers from all over the world enjoy a unique experience they’ll never forget! No wonder Val Thorens is the resort which boasts the highest number of awards: Best French resort, best European resort and best resort in the world. All of this thanks to its outstanding geographical location, of course, but what really makes Val Thorens stand out from the crowd is, first and foremost, its pioneering and «live together»spirits. Here, it’s all about the skiing! The best skiing available, but that’s not all... ValThorens builds on this common vision to unite the world’s citizens from all walks of life and all age groups. Driven by these values, Val Thorens lives up to its ‘Live United’ motto, with all of the resort’s forward-looking players and entities working hand in hand to share and invent the resort of tomorrow. Groundbreaking and innovative by nature, Val Thorens aims for excellence, developing technologies to enhance the safety, comfort and wellbeing of holidaymakers while preserving the natural surroundings. We are convinced that the resort of the future is one that will succeed in creating sustainable relationships between its visitors, residents and the environment. The mountains are our playground, our living environment and our future. We are the first to care about them and are determined to protect them. Here, we have always done things a little differently, and our 50-year history is not about to stop!” said Vincent Lalanne, general manager of Val Thorens Tourist Office
