Vail Cancels Summer 2020 Festival Due To Concerns Over Coronavirus

Dear Music Lovers,
For more than 32 years, Bravo! Vail Music Festival has brought classical music lovers together in the Vail Valley each summer. It has been our privilege and joy to share world-class music with all of you every year. There is nothing quite like it anywhere in the world -- the glorious summer evenings filled with warm breezes, majestic mountains, friendship, and spectacular music. It exemplifies the power of music to inspire and unite us. It is an exhilarating journey that we cherish.
Unfortunately, we write today to share the disappointing news that the 2020 Bravo! Vail Music Festival season is canceled. Your health and safety are our top priorities, and given the anticipated timelines for restrictions on events in Eagle County (details are available here), we are simply unable to move forward with the Festival as it was planned. This is a heartbreaking decision and a loss for the entire community.
Yet, despite our profound sadness, we look to the future with much hope and optimism. Nothing moves people quite like music, and while we do not yet know when live concerts will return to the stage, we are committed to being part of that joyous moment when it arrives. We are working with great enthusiasm to develop creative ideas and re-imagine how Bravo! Vail can continue to fulfill its mission of enriching people’s lives through the power of music.
This is an unexpected intermission, and not one any of us wishes to take. It is your dedication that will carry us through, and we are deeply grateful. A summer without Bravo! Vail as we know it seems unimaginable. Rest assured that we will be waiting in the wings and ready to celebrate the magic of music. Many thanks and stay well.
Sincerely,
Kathleen Eck, Board Chair
Anne-Marie McDermott, Artistic Director
Caitlin Murray, Executive Director
P.S. Please consider a gift to Bravo! Vail today to help ensure the Festival's future. Your investment now will allow us to continue to enrich people’s lives through the power of music for many years to come.
