Utu is thrilled to announce the launch of its new line of premium skincare, formulated for outdoor lovers, and designed to protect, nourish, and rejuvenate the skin, while respecting the planet through responsible sourcing and eliminating single-use plastic with the use of 100% recyclable aluminum packaging.

Utu’s debut range of advanced outdoor skincare offers clean, efficacious sun protection and skin nourishment engineered for a range of outdoor pursuits and includes a broad spectrum SPF30 Moisturizing Sunscreen, as well as a performance-ready broad spectrum refillable SPF50 Tinted Sunscreen-Stiq. The Utu product array, now available online and forthcoming at select U.S. stockists, is completely non-toxic, chemical-free, water-resistant, reef-safe, cruelty-free, aquatic-friendly, and USDA Biobased.

Utu is an extension of founder Richard Welch, an LGBTQ+ business owner and member of Founded Outdoors, an active community of entrepreneurs dedicated to breaking down barriers to access in the outdoors industry. Welch’s passion and love of the outdoors shaped Utu’s mission to protect, nourish, and rejuvenate the skin and planet, and to nurture people’s connection to the natural world.

Utu’s UVA/UVB protection comes from mineral-based non-nano zinc oxide, which delivers safe, effective, broad spectrum sun protection that’s reef-safe and aquatic-friendly, ensuring the use of ingredients that respect the integrity of reef, ocean, river, lake, and stream health. Additional hero ingredients include Hyaluronic acid, squalane, sea buckthorn, sesame seed oil, vitamin C & E, and astaxanthin, which brighten, soothe, hydrate, balance, and nourish the skin, with zero white cast that has proven effective on all skin tones.
