Following the inaugural meeting, Helmut Holzinger from Hinterstoder as chairman of the specialist group, as well as Gerald Paschinger from Aigen-Schlägl and Johannes Spiesberger from Ohlsdorf as his deputies, once again form the leadership trio of the Upper Austrian cable car companies for the term of office until 2030.
Helmut Holzinger, chairman of the trade group, is a managing director of Hinterstoder-Wurzeralm Bergbahnen AG, where he has worked since 1988. This is the largest cable car company in Upper Austria and, in addition to the Höss in Hinterstoder, also includes the Wurzeralm in Spital/Phyrn. A total of 20 cable cars and lifts as well as four restaurants are operated, and approximately 180 employees are employed in winter. Holzinger has been active in the industry for 20 years and has served as chairman of the trade group since 2011. At the federal level, he represents the interests of Upper Austrian companies in the trade association and on the technical committee. Holzinger is strongly committed to preserving the structures of the Upper Austrian cable car industry. The preservation of small ski resorts with their important local supply function is a particular concern of his. In addition, he promotes the development of tourism in Upper Austria through his commitment to cooperation between all service providers involved in winter sports.
Gerald Paschinger, deputy chairman of the trade group, is Managing Director of Hochficht Bergbahnen GmbH, where he has been employed since 2011. The family ski resort includes nine cable cars and lifts, as well as three restaurants, and employs around 80 people during the winter season. Paschinger has been involved in the industry association since 2015.
Johannes Spiesberger, deputy chairman of the trade group, has been operations manager and shareholder of Hochlecken Schilifte GmbH in Neukirchen near Altmünster since 1985. The ski area has three drag lifts and two children's lifts, with approximately 14 hectares of slopes accessible. Floodlights complete the offerings of this attractive ski resort "on the doorstep." Spiesberger has been active in the industry for 25 years, including 10 years as chairman and sales representative.
