Updated Transport Services At Mt Hotham For 2024 Season
Mt Hotham is pleased to announce updates to its transport services for the upcoming 2024 snow season. In collaboration with 4Site, our dedicated transport provider, we have implemented several key improvements aimed at improving safety, reliability, and overall visitor experience.
Increased Staffing and Enhanced Safety Measures
To ensure a smooth and safe journey for all visitors, 4Site has increased staffing levels across our transport services. The increase aims to provide better support for drivers and ensure consistency for customers, particularly during peak times. Our safety measures will be focused on both preventative maintenance and real-time monitoring, ensuring the highest standards of safety and reliability.
New Look and GPS Tracking
Visitors will notice a fresh new look this season, with a branding refresh improving visibility for our fleet of buses. Visitors will now also be able to track buses around the village in real time via the Mt Hotham website, providing more certainty around bus arrival and departure times.
Resumption of Dinner Plain Service
We are pleased to announce the resumption of the Dinner Plain service, providing convenient and reliable transport between Mt Hotham and Dinner Plain. This service is crucial for connecting the communities and ensuring that visitors have access to the full range of dining, accommodation, and recreational opportunities available in the area.
Services will run hourly from Dinner Plain between 7am and 10:30pm, pricing will be $21 per adult and $13 per child for a return trip including the resort entry fee. The service will be provided at no cost for Mt Hotham staff, to allow for Dinner Plain-based staff to commute between the resort and the Dinner Plain village.
Trial of Reduced Operating Hours for 2024
We will be trialling slightly reduced operating hours for the village buses for the 2024 season. With driver and passenger safety in mind, this decision has been carefully considered. We will closely monitor the impact of the operational hours to ensure the services continue to meet the expectations and needs of our guests. Transport services will conclude at 12.30am daily.
“Mt Hotham is dedicated to improving the overall experience for our visitors, and these improvements to our transport services reflect this. We believe that the increased staffing, the resumption of the Dinner Plain service and the addition of GPS tracking will greatly benefit our community and visitors alike.” said Lyndsey Jackman, General Manager, ARV Mt Hotham
“Our team is excited to collaborate with Mt Hotham on these service updates. The strategic changes to staffing and operating hours, along with the new and improved appearance of our buses, are all part of our ongoing commitment to provide a reliable, safe, and enjoyable transport experience for everyone visiting Mt Hotham.” added Rob McDonald, 4Site, Transport Provider
