'Tux readies For Hotzone.tv Park Opening 2021, September 30th – October 3rd, 2021
In a few weeks the snowboard community kicks off winter at the 17th Hotzone.tv Park Opening in Hintertux, taking place from September 30th – October 3rd, 2021. As every year the first Opening of the season is celebrated at Hintertux glacier.
Like last year the focus is on the mountain events also this autumn. All eyes are on Betterpark up on Hintertux glacier, offering plenty for amateur as well as professional riders with various lines. The Park opened last weekend and will be expanded until the Opening. The setup will surely please freestylers and offer perfect conditions for autumn riding.
For the Park Opening later this month, riders are looking forward to the „Werni Stock Invitational”, as it is the first Big Air session of the season. After the summer break with little time on snow the motivation is high to return to the Snowpark. The “Kids Shred” during the Opening is popular since years and will return also for the 2021 edition with an expanded program.
On Saturday and Sunday pro-riders like Marko Grilc will coach the attending kids. The “Pleasure Cover Shoot” is on as well. New are events off the mountain, like a Pumptrack session and a DJ workshop for the little shredders. Registration opens soon on https://opening.hotzone.tv/. As the night session of the SANE! Metal Battle is not feasible, it takes a break this season.
Alternatively, the SANE! Crew will host the notorious “Cash for Tricks” session at Betterpark Hintertux. A good opportunity to cash in some extra pocket money. Also, the snowboard industry is present onsite at the test village with the latest hardgoods of the coming winter season. Try before you buy is key when choosing a new snowboard. The Snowcard 2021/22 is valid from October 1st onwards. The perfect timing to officially kick off winter at the Park Opening in Hintertux. For all those in need of day tickets, it’s recommended to visit the online store to buy them in advance. That way waiting times at the valley station can be avoided and access to tickets is quick and easy on-site.
