Touchscreens & New TV Content: Hotels In Schladming-Dachstein Expand Digital Guest Information
The Styrian holiday region Schladming-Dachstein is taking further steps on the topic of "digital guest information".

So-called "digital signage" steles were already put into operation at several locations in the region last year. The pillars, equipped with touch-enabled displays, are used as interactive, user-oriented information and advertising sources. The tourism region now also supports the use of these devices in the region's hotels and restaurants.
"With the implementation of this project, we are taking another important step in digital guest care," explains Mathias Schattleitner, Managing Director of the Schladming-Dachstein tourism region. "For this purpose, we have entered into partnerships with well-known companies such as Hutchison Drei Austria and the web consulting agency SoloX. This means we can offer the region's hotels tailor-made packages for their digital guest information."
Great demand from hotels The tourism region promotes the use of digital signage columns in the hotel and catering industry not only through its expertise in the form of comprehensive advice and support, but also through financial support for the licensing of content. The new, contemporary solutions were presented as part of a "digital event" and met with great interest from hoteliers and restaurateurs in the region.
Several hotels immediately began active operations in their properties, including the Lindenhof, Lärchenhof and Rösslhof hotels in Ramsau. Other well-known establishments such as the Falkensteiner Hotel, the Aparthotel Ferienalm in Schladming, the Ennstalerhof and the Aparthotel Ramsau will soon begin operations.
Advertising messages, weather information, product details - media content of all kinds aimed at a wider audience attracts particularly high levels of attention via digital signage and the TV sets in the hotels.
On the steles/screens, guests have the opportunity to access detailed and condensed information about the hotel and the Schladming-Dachstein region via the touch-sensitive screen.
