Titlis Offers ‘Sleep On The Peak’ - A Spectacular Night
This summer, for the first time, guests can spend the night on the highest mountain in central Switzerland. The Titlis Bergbahnen have installed an Ecocapsule on the terrace of the mountain station. The intelligent and self-sufficient mini-house is operated by solar and wind energy.
The Titlis to yourself On 35 dates between July and September, two people each have the Titlis to themselves during the night. The offer includes the ascent and descent, a champagne aperitif, dinner, overnight stay, breakfast as well as the spectacular evening and morning atmosphere at 3,020 meters above sea level. The bookable appointments were taken within a very short time. Urs Egli, Head of Marketing at Titlis Bergbahnen, is not surprised: “The exclusivity of the offer means that guests can enjoy the otherwise unique starry sky on the Titlis even more intensely. People are looking for such experiences. "
Innovative and environmentally friendly concept
The mini house developed by the Slovak company Ecocapsule enables people to live in remote places without access to infrastructure. On an area of 8.2 square meters there is a kitchen, a bathroom with shower and dry toilet and a large, fold-out bed. The highly efficient solar system installed on the roof provides the energy supply. In addition, the Ecocapsule is equipped with a wind turbine, which may not be used on the Titlis for lightning protection reasons. The heating panel and the lamps can be controlled by the guests via the app.
The world's highest Ecocapsule For Tomas Zacek, founder of Ecocapsule, the location on the Titlis is a novelty: “Our product is in many different places around the world. But we've never put an Ecocapsule into operation as high as on the Titlis. " After the Guttannen site, it is the second Ecocapsule to be found in Switzerland.
