Three Golds For Salomon At Alpine World Champs

After two weeks of intense racing in neighboring French Alpine villages of Courchevel and Meribel, the FIS World Alpine Ski Championships have come to an end with Salomon athletes winning three gold medals.

  • In week 1, Italy’s Marta Bassino stunned in the women's Super G to win her firstSome description World Championship title in the discipline.
  • Switzerland’s Marco Odermatt continued his incredible season-long form. In France, he was nearly flawless in the Downhill and Giant Slalom, winning gold medal in both events.
  • Bassino and Odermatt were not the only ones to perform well at the World Championships. Several Salomon Alpine athletes scoring impressive top-10 results.
  • In the women’s Super G, New Zealand’s Alice Robinson was 7th and Switzerland’s Michelle Gisin was 10th, while Odermatt was 4th in the men’s Super G.
  • Luca de Aliprandini was 8th in the parallel, Bassino was 5th in the women’s Giant Slalom, and Ana Bucik was 9th in Slalom.
