Thredbo Hosts The Snowies Beer, Food And Wine Festival, Jan 24-26th
The Snowies Beer, Food & Wine Festival is set for a huge weekend filled with the best of the region’s food, beer, and wine. From the 24th to the 26th of January, food enthusiasts from across the country are invited to sip, swirl, and taste their way through a non-stop weekend of regional craft beers, wines, and spirits, alongside gourmet food and live music.
With some of the region’s most renowned vendors participating, the festival is expected to attract plenty of visitors to the area.
The festivities kick off on Friday, the 24th, with an extraordinary culinary adventure at the Festival Welcome Dinner in the Kosciuszko Room. Guests can enjoy five courses crafted by Thredbo’s head chef, Sebastian Doyle, each paired with a selection of beer, wine, and cocktails. Saturday, the 25th, is Festival Day, and the Village Square in Thredbo will be buzzing with samples from the region’s best restaurateurs, distillers, and brewers, accompanied by live music by Sean from H-Cee Family! This event is free to attend and makes for a fantastic day out for the whole family.
On Saturday night from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM, spirit enthusiasts are invited to ‘Meet the Maker’ in the Lounge Bar, where they can explore new spirits in a friendly and relaxing environment.
The festivities continue on Sunday, the 26th, with another jam-packed day of food, drinks, and entertainment at the Alpine Bar. From 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM, some of the region’s favourite brewers will take over the Alpine Bar for ‘Brews and BBQs,’ accompanied by live music from local legends Damo & V (12:00 PM – 2:30 PM) and Groove Two (2:45 PM – 5:45 PM). Guests can enjoy an array of craft beers perfectly paired with BBQ favourites – a perfect way to cap off a long weekend in the mountains.
