The name says it all, because at "Lift is Life" interesting personalities meet at lofty heights and talk about their lives - moderated by lift attendant Markus Schmid, who makes every gondola ride an unforgettable experience with his charming, authentic humor. In the video podcast series, the charismatic host philosophizes with his guests in six episodes about vocations, the fascination of the Alps and encounters with people from all over the world. The aim is to position Austria as an attractive, authentic and humorous winter and ski destination.
Exciting guests, authentic conversations
As different as the guests are, they have one thing in common: a special relationship with Austria's Alps, which comes to life in their stories and experiences. Charlotte, internet star and Austria's youngest ski instructor, ski influencer René Sabathy and Goasbauern Maria and Martin Grüner are also there. But the artist Hannah Philomena Scheiber, mountain rescuer Vanessa Riml and kite surfer Valentin Bontus will also join in episodes four to six - starting on January 27th. The guests embody the diversity and uniqueness of the people who are at home in Austria's mountains.
Putting the Austrian way of life in the spotlight
"With Lift is Life we show that Austria's winter offers more than just impressive landscapes - it tells stories," explains Sandra Stichauner, CMO of Austria Tourism. "Our guests not only experience sporting adventures, but also immerse themselves in a way of life that is characterized by hospitality, humor and lightness. This video podcast series brings exactly this feeling to the world."
An experience that perfectly represents Austria
The interviews take place in an environment that combines the best of Austria: snow-capped mountain peaks, clear winter air and an atmosphere that allows you to live completely in the moment. The online campaign, which was implemented together with the creative agency WIEN NORD SERVICEPLAN, is based on a special moment that many skiers know: queuing up or riding the ski lift. This often leads to spontaneous conversations with people you would never have met otherwise. These encounters not only produce exciting stories and humorous anecdotes, but also reflect the attitude to life in the Austrian winter - full of lightness, warmth and charming humor.
All episodes of "Lift is Life" are available free of charge on Spotify and the official YouTube channel of the Austrian Tourist Board. The first three episodes are already online and invite you to discover winter in Austria from a new, fascinating perspective.
