Tenney Mountain Upgrades In Off-Season

With the days getting shorter and temperatures beginning to cool off, the ski season draws closer every day.

As we gear up for this upcoming winter, the Tenney Mountain operations team continues their hard work to help bring the best skier experience for the 2024-25 season. Some of our off-season upgrades include:

Major snowmaking upgrades, 5 times the snowmaking capacity for next season:

o Brand new motor pump system, replacing the 40+ year old diesel equipment.
o Mid-mountain pump house to boost our mid-mountain snowmaking coverage.
o Over 5 miles of brand new snowmaking pipe.
o 125 new HKD snowmaking guns, making a total of over 200 new snowmaking guns added over the last two seasons.

Renovations to the trails at Tenney Mountain:

o Many trails have been cut back to the original width intended by Sam Hall, the founder of Tenney Mountain.
o Glade skiing has been greatly expanded upon and cleaned up, offering exciting options for expert skiers.

Trail identification and reclassification:

o New trail signs for easier navigation across the mountain.
o Redesigned trail map, with new trail maps at the top of each chairlift.
o Reclassification of multiple trails to increase  green trail count for beginner skiers.
