Tecnica Forge Collection Receives Backpacker Editors' Choice Award And ISPO Product Of The Year

Tecnica Outdoor has been awarded two prestigious awards for the Forge Collection of thermo moldable hiking boots. The two awards presented to Tecnica were the Backpacker Editors’ Choice Award and the ISPO 2018 Award: Product of the Year.

The Tecnica Forge GTX received the prestigious 2018 Editors’ Choice award from Backpacker Magazine at the Outdoor Retailer Snow Show. The Backpacker staff chose twelve products to receive this coveted award after extensive and rigorous testing. The award is given to brands that represent the most innovative, best-performing gear the industry offers.

The Tecnica Forge S GTX hiking boot was honored with the ISPO Product of the Year award in the outdoor category. An independent jury awards prizes at the ISPO trade show in Munich for best sports products for the coming season. The jury picks the most innovative products in five segments, including Outdoor, from over 500 entries.

Tecnica Outdoor launched the Forge Collection of trekking boots that combine a precise anatomical fit right out-of-the box with effective heat moldable customization capabilities in February 2018 to specialty retailers across the country. The collection features a technology new to footwear, Custom Adaptive Shape or C.A.S., that offers a fully heat moldable customization process resulting in a personalized fit in 20 minutes. The C.A.S. technology was first used in Tecnica’s alpine ski boots. The Forge Collection is offered in two models for men and women: the Forge GTX , with a nubuk upper, and Forge S GTX, with a proprietary synthetic upper.
