Team Summit Welcomes Aldo Radamus As Alpine Ability Director.
Team Summit is excited to welcome Aldo Radamus to the Leadership Team as the Alpine Ability Director. Aldo is a member of the Colorado Snowsports Hall of Fame for being a Sport Developer.
Aldo has been a leader in the ski and snowboard competition arena for more than 30 years. Aldo spent 14-years as the Executive Director at Ski & Snowboard Club Vail (SSCV). At SSCV Aldo developed a coaching staff that became known as a world leader in developing ski and snowboard competitors. Under Aldo’s leadership, Ski & Snowboard Club Vail entered into a partnership with Vail Resorts to operate the world’s leading early season training venue at Golden Peak.
Over the course of his career Aldo has served many roles with the US Ski Team including, Head Women’s Tech Coach, Head Men’s Tech Coach, Alpine Development Head Coach and Alpine Development Director.
Aldo was also the Alpine Program Director and Men’s Head Coach at Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club.
He also spearheaded the first publicly funded dedicated Snow Sports academy in North America in Minturn, Colorado.
More recently Aldo has been the Managing Director of the Americas, for premium cycling clothing company ASSOS of Switzerland.
With an experienced leader like Aldo, partnered with Team Summit’s four resort partners, A-Basin, Keystone, Breckenridge and Copper Mountain, Team Summit is poised to become a world leader in alpine race training.
“I can’t think of anybody with more knowledge and experience in developing ski racers from the club level to the World Cup. Aldo added, “It is a great pleasure to join Team Summit Colorado and support each one of our athletes in pursuit of their personal podiums in academics, life skills and sport. I look forward to meeting members of the community, sharing our passion for ski racing and working together to realize individual and organizational potential in the years to come.”
Aldo begins immediately leading Team Summit’s alpine athletes U16 up through PG programs.
Team Summit was formed in the early 1970s as the Summit Skiing and Educational Foundation with the purpose of sponsoring young alpine skiers who wanted to participate in an intensive training program. The four Summit County ski areas: Copper Mountain, Keystone, Breckenridge and Arapahoe Basin were founding mountain partners and continue to be strong partners today.
Team Summit is a youth development organization empowering athletes to realize and celebrate their personal podiums through athletics, education, and life skills by participating in innovative programming at world class venues.
