Tamara Tippler The Next World Cup Speed Queen Signs With Kastle.
Vorarlberg ski brand Kästle strengthens its women speed-team. After a baby break Tamara Tippler, from Styria (Austria), is excited to go back to the top with a new equipment supplier.
After a break of roughly one year Tippler was back in the starting gate at the season finale in Saalbach. As a forerunner she started with Kästle. ”The feeling was good from the very beginning. Kästle is working precisely on my setup. I am confident and very motivated to take this challenge,” comments Tippler after her first few weeks with her new supplier.
Since the return of Kästle into the Alpine World Cup in November 2022, all top athletes have been victorious. After two wins of Ilka Stuhec in 22/23 season, Jasmine Flury celebrated her first World Cup victory in the Val-d´Isère downhill and Ester Ledecka won the Super-G at the season finale in Saalbach.
Tippler specializes in the speed events of super-G and downhill. She made her World Cup debut in December 2011 in Lake Louise, Canada, and attained her first World Cup podium in December 2015, a second place in super-G, also at Lake Louise.
Tippler has been on the podium ten times in Downhill and Super-G. At the Winter Olympics in 2022, she missed the bronze medal by just three hundredth of a second. The big goal is to close the gap on the world´s best athletes next season.
“Kästle is happy about the challenge to bring another top athlete back on top. We congratulate Tamara on her decision to return to professional sports and wish her a lot of success,” says Maria Hössl head of Kästle Race Developing.
With her return into alpine pro sports the Styrian is facing the same challenge as 2007 Daniela Ceccarelli and 2008 Sarah Schleper.
