Swap The Plane For The Train This Winter – Inghams Promotes Ski Train Travel

Inghams is offering a weekly service from 22nd December 2018– 30th March 2019 where guests can travel by Eurostar on a Saturday to a range of top ski resorts in France including Les Arcs, Val d’Isere, Tignes, La Plagne and Courchevel. Guests can board at either St Pancras, Ebbsfleet or Ashford International in the UK before whizzing directly to Bourg St Maurice or Moutiers in the heart of the French Alps.  Demand is high so book early to avoid disappointment.

Train to Val Thorens

Take the scenic route to the highest resort in the Alps this winter. Val Thorens is part of the huge Three Valleys ski area and sits at a cool 2,300m meaning long sunny days, fantastic ski conditions and great skiing and snowboarding for all abilities. 

Train to Les Arcs

Linked by funicular railway to Bourg St Maurice station, Les Arc is and neighbouring La Plagne create the huge Paradiski ski area. Guests can choose between three villages: Arc 1800 a great choice for families and beginners, Arc 1950 car-free with excellent restaurants and Arc 2000 the perfect base for intermediate and advanced skiers who can head up to the Aiguille Rouge for exhilarating black runs.

Train to Tignes

Set high in the magnificent Savoie Alps, Tignes offers high altitude slopes, an excellent snow-record and a buzzing après ski scene. Part of the vast Espace Killy ski area, the resort is a great choice for intermediate and advanced skiers who can enjoy glaciers and fantastic scenery without the Val d’Isere price tag. The resort is made up of five small villages which have a good selection of bars, shops and restaurants.
