The PillerseeTal at the easternmost end of the Kitzbühel Alps in Tyrol is ready for the summer season! With numerous innovations around the exciting theme trails, the popular weekly highlights and the mountain railways of the PillerseeTal, guests and locals can look forward to a varied summer.

The PillerseeTal has a lot to offer again this summer. A highlight is the revised outdoor adventure " The Awakening of the Steinberg King ". The interactive adventure game for the whole family leads to the most beautiful places in the region and requires an interplay of listening, looking, skill and logic. New from summer 2023 is a further developed interactive online puzzle rally , in which you can use your own smartphone or tablet to solve additional digital puzzles per station and collect symbols using a QR code.

The world's only Biathlon World Cup trail that can be explored on foot or by mountain bike is located in Hochfilzen. There are numerous details to be found out about the sport of biathlon and participation is also the order of the day. Anyone who answers all the questions on the themed trail will receive a medal. Some stations are supplemented with augmented reality elements.

In Waidring, a fabulous circular hiking trail - the Sagenweg - awaits the whole family, which leads through 12 local legends over a distance of around 5 km . A stroller-friendly, varied and easy hike with an entertainment factor.

New highlights also at the weekly family evening events in PillerseeTal!

This year too, visitors to the family evening events in PillerseeTal can look forward to exciting new things . This year, instead of the traditional fireworks display, there will be a musical "fire show" with top music groups from near and far at the lake lights at Pillersee. The end of the evening this year is a great flame show . The kick-off date on June 7 promises to be a first highlight . The “ Poxrucker Sisters ” will set the mood.

The " Long Friday " will also come up with an innovative concert format this year - the picnic concerts on the mountain . On ten Fridays, visitors can look forward to musical listening pleasure, paired with culinary delights from a picnic basket, at 1,200 meters above sea level in the middle of the PillerseeTaler mountains.

NEWS in the family & leisure park "Timok's Wilde Welt" at the Bergbahnen Fieberbrunn

New attraction in Timok's Wild World!
In cooperation with the Tyrolean State Museums, the new games & educational trail "Timok's Discovery Checker Trail" awaits between the Streuboden middle station and the Wildalpgatterl. At six stations, the mascot Timok playfully reveals flora and fauna news about the Alpine region and its small, exciting secrets. For example, why you should be particularly nice to the cannibalistic mountain newt, how a common frog manages to survive hibernation despite weak lungs and why you could also call a dragonfly “mini dinosaur with reverse gear”. At each station you can play, climb, be amazed and solve a riddle. If you manage to answer all the questions correctly, you will get a solution and a small reward at the cable car cash desk.

Museum goes Wild will have a new location from summer 2023
The digital circular hiking trail "Museum goes Wild" gets a new place and moves from the Wildalmen to Streubodensee in Timok's Wilde Welt.

Triassic water games - your mini primordial sea on the stone slab
After an exciting raft ride and the giant dino tube slide, it's time to cool down. With the new Triassic water features, you and your new prehistoric researcher friends can splash around, play, climb or just relax. Another playground with a completely new watercourse and many opportunities to let off steam is waiting for you. Attention, a new dinosaur has also joined them and for all parents it's time to relax and enjoy the unbelievable panoramic view.

Augmented Reality puzzles
Bring primeval times to life - that's the motto this year for all slightly older kids. Your interactive augmented reality puzzle experience in the TriassicPark on the Steinplatte in Waidring. Find the 3 hidden primeval inhabitants - there are 3 living representatives of primeval times hidden that have to be found. Decipher the secret code word and get yourself a cool wooden medal engraved with a dinosaur.

NEWS on the Buchensteinwand/Pillersee cable car in St. Ulrich aP

The “Best Austrian Summer Mountain Railways” project was launched in 2001 with the aim of further developing and strengthening the significance of mountain railways for summer tourism. Within the framework of this project, the basic quality in the sense of a summer mountain expected from the customer's point of view should be ensured to a minimum. Furthermore, the participating mountain railways should have a specific preparation and attraction that is suitable to trigger a motivation to visit the summer mountain beyond the "basic offer". The Bergbahn Pillersee was subjected to this test and was successfully awarded in the categories Panorama & Nature Experience (100%) and Art & Culture.

Pletzi Bear Fun Rally
Spend a day hiking on the Buchensteinwand with Pletzi Bär: Pick up the stamp card at the valley station (St. Ulrich), look for the Pletzi Bär boards in the hiking area and stamp the respective motif on the back of the stamp card. Return the stamped card to the valley station and collect your reward - 3 stamps are enough.

Ball track on the Buchensteinwand
"Zerkugeln auf der Buach" - playfully experience the hiking trails on the Buchensteinwand around Jakobskreuz. Under this motto, 4 ball track stations were set up - one station at the valley station, 3 other stations from Jakobskreuz to the reservoir and at the Hoametzl hut. Here not only the dexterity, patience and movement with the wooden ball are tested - fun and games are also guaranteed! "Zerkugeln auf der Buach" will be expanded in 2023 and we look forward to 2 new marble run stations!

* From June to September 2023 there will be monthly changing exhibitions in the Jakobskreuz . The Jakobskreuz offers a stage for artists and visionaries and thus proves once again that it lives up to its reputation as a panoramic mountain.
