Sugarbush Expects To Begin Snowmaking This Week
Sugarbush Resort will begin snowmaking for the 2017-18 winter season on Friday, November 3rd if temperatures allow. The resort will aim to cover a top-to-bottom route that includes Jester, Downspout, Lower Downspout, Lower Jester, and Coffee Run. Additional trails may be added for the resort’s planned Opening Day on Saturday, November 18th (weather dependent).
Last season, Sugarbush installed a snow stake webcam near the summit of Lincoln Peak for snow fall measurements and viewing. The resort has added a second snow stake webcam near Allyn's Lodge for mid-mountain measurements. Sugarbush expects to debut the new snow stakes and webcams by Opening Day. After the first natural snowfall at the summit last Friday, the resort team is excited to start blowing more snow on the trails. The webcams can be accessed at www.sugarbush.com/mountain/webcams, and on the Sugarbush App, available on both the Apple and Google Play stores.
