The big event marathon of the Stubaital, eventful winter season from December to March
In addition to the unique range of winter sports in the Stubai, which extends across the four ski areas of the Stubai Glacier, Schlick 2000, Elfer and Serlesbahnen, great events are again being held throughout the valley this season. No matter whether big or small, family or friends, the Stubai Valley offers the right range of events for everyone. From Christmas markets to hiking nights, ski night shows, a freeride testival on the glacier to culinary highlights with the Ski & BBQ event in the Schlick 2000, everything is included.
Eventful end of the year in the Stubaital
The customs and customs of the Stubai winter can be revived again this season. You can feel, experience and taste it. Christmas markets will be held in the villages of the Stubai Valley until the end of the year. A new, very special market will be held in Fulpmes this year under the motto " Advent at the Boarschmied ". On the 17th/18th On December 23rd and 23rd, in addition to the culinary Christmas delights, the focus is on Fulpmes' blacksmith history.
If you want to enjoy even more of the Christmas market feeling and the Christmas season to the full, the Christkindlmarkt in Milders - a district of Neustift - is the right place. Culinary, contemplative and entertaining delicacies are offered there every Friday and Saturday throughout December. Among other things, there is a storyteller who always inspires the youngest visitors on Saturdays. The Christmas market will not come to an end until after Christmas, on Friday, December 30th, with a pre-New Year's Eve party.
Families with their children can already experience something similar on Thursday, December 29th at the
BIG FAMILY pre- New Year's Eve party at Kampler See in Neustift. From 5:00 p.m. the last days of the old year will be bid farewell with a hands-on concert by Donikkl, transformations in the make-up station, fire shows and colorful fireworks.
Hiking experiences of a special kind with the winter hiking nights
The new year will be colorful with the winter hiking nights in the Natur Aktiv Park Klaus Äuelein Neustift - a popular series of events taking place four times between January 10th and February 14th, 2023. On these four evenings, the subtly illuminated winter landscape once again offers visitors a unique natural experience that knows how to impress with art, cuisine and entertaining offers. There are numerous attractions that no one should miss: variety is guaranteed on dog sled rides, horse-drawn sleigh rides, curling, ice skating or marveling at ice carvers. Real Tyrolean specialties delight visitors: inside at the pleasure stands on the grounds of the Natur Aktiv Park, where they can be brought easily and relaxed thanks to free shuttle buses and picked up there again.
Just like the winter hiking nights in Neustift, the Serles winter hiking night in Mieders on Tuesday, February 21, 2023 is just the thing for all enthusiastic night hikers. The gondolas of the Serlesbahn take you high up to the LED-lit paths around the Serlessee. Torch hikes and other unforgettable experiences such as night tobogganing and walking acts by various artists are offered here. The Koppeneck mountain restaurant and the Ochsenhütte, where you can celebrate until 10:30 p.m., take care of your physical well-being. Afterwards, a free shuttle bus runs from Schönberg to Volderau.
It will be fiery and colorful with the Night of Colours
Opposite Mieders, in the Schlick 2000 ski center in Fulpmes, the “Night of Colours” ski night shows will be fiery and colourful. Eight times this winter, starting on December 28th, there will be an LED light and fire show by the “Anta agni” group, skiing demonstrations by the Stubai Ski School and demonstrations of the snow groomers, the motor crossers from the “Stoanbiters” and a lighted helicopter the program. The show starts at 8:30 p.m., before that DJ Fabian Strickner ensures a good atmosphere from 7:30 p.m. From 7:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., an action-packed evening awaits all toboggan fans on the floodlit Schlick 2000 valley descent.
First Freeride Testival on the Stubai Glacier
Deep snow fans should not miss the first Freeride Testival on February 11th and 12th, 2023 on the Stubai Glacier. 50 well-known brands in the scene are making their new equipment available. In addition to the brand new products, various side events such as workshops, courses, joint tours and safety training are waiting for the participants. In addition, freeride pros like Sandra Lahnsteiner and Roman Rohrmoser are on site and give tips on how to behave off the slopes. Ski & BBQ: an event with guaranteed enjoyment
Things will then get hot with culinary delights – also in the Schlick 2000 ski area – on Sunday, March 12, 2023. With Ski & BBQ , an event format will be offered that has not often been seen in this way. The multiple German grill master and grill world champion of 2013, Michael Hoffmann, and his team from GutGlut eV will ensure special culinary delights at the Panorama Restaurant Kreuzjoch. In between, visitors can make their turns on the slopes or enjoy the sun and regional delicacies on the terrace with live music.
