Stefan Ryser Becomes A Director Of Bergbahnen Sorenberg AG

The Board of Directors of Bergbahnen Sörenberg AG has elected Stefan Ryser as the new director, effective July 1, 2025. The experienced tourism professional succeeds René Koller, who will retire at the end of June 2025.

Stefan Ryser, born in 1980, graduated from the Tourism School in Sierre and has an EMBA in Strategic Management and a Master's in Brand & Marketing Management. In addition to his business knowledge, he has over 20 years of professional experience in tourism, including extensive management experience as Vice Director of Interlaken Tourism and Managing Director of the Mythen Adventure Region. Most recently, he led the "Cradle of Switzerland" project as overall project manager and built up a broad network in Central Swiss tourism. He also shares his expertise as a lecturer at the Higher Technical Colleges for Tourism in Lucerne and Thun.

Theo Schnider, Chairman of the Board of Directors of BBS AG, said of the election: "The application process, which was carried out by an external management selection office, comprised several rounds and an assessment. A four-person search committee, delegated by the Board of Directors, oversaw the process. The Board of Directors unanimously elected Stefan Ryser. Stefan Ryser, a proven tourism expert, is extremely well qualified for the demanding, challenging tasks of this position. We look forward to a successful collaboration."

Until the end of June 2025, René Koller will lead the mountain railways as director with his profound industry knowledge and extensive practical experience.
