Stanserhorn Bahn Wins PR Bild Award In The Travel Category

Great honor for the Stanserhorn Bahn. It topped the podium in the most meaningful PR images - in the travel category. Photographer Thomas Staub from Rorschach took the picture. International recognition for the friendliest mountain railway in the Alps. On Monday evening, an emotionally charged image of the CabriO Bahn in Hamburg received an award. As part of the PR Bild Award, photos from Germany, Austria and Switzerland were in the spotlight. Three winners each were chosen in the categories Portrait, NGO, Social Media, Stories & Campaigns, Lifestyle and Travel. The jury made a selection from the 450 submitted images, which were then available for public voting. The audience voted the picture of Thomas Staub with the CabriO in a unique downpour situation as travel picture of the year 2022.

Unique: Recording like mountain railway

The CabriO-Bahn has turned the Stanserhorn into a "lighthouse" for tourism in Central Switzerland. The whole region benefits from this. One of the reasons why the hiking event "From the lake to the mountain" chose the Stanserhorn as the venue. Thomas Staub (Staub Photography, Rorschach) accompanied the hikers, who were not afraid to walk from Lucerne to the Stanserhorn.
