Spy Celebrates 25 Years Of Eyewear Independence
SPY is celebrating 25 years of eyewear independence with modernized updates to some of its most iconic frames along with special edition colorways dropping throughout 2019. One of the few eyewear and outdoor industry brands that can claim 25 years of independence, SPY will keep the celebration going all year long with new frame drops and a celebratory special edition black and gold colorway available in select sunglasses and goggles. And while silver is typically associated with a 25th anniversary, it’s SPY’s party and it’s going for gold.
SPY kicks off its anniversary celebration in April with the release of the new Scoop 2, MC3, and Dirty Mo 2 sunglasses, each one equipped with SPY’s HD+ lens technology, which combines the superior clarity of digitally mastered high definition lenses with the therapeutic and visual performance benefits of the patented Happy Lens.
Inspired by SPY’s brand history, the Scoop 2 blends elements of the past with modern design cues and a nod to the future. Featuring SPY’s Scoop ventilation system, rubber nose pads and temple tips, durable Grilamid construction, and standout color combos, the Scoop 2 is a frame SPY purists will definitely be reaching for.
A true tale of SPY’s 25-year heritage, the Dirty Mo 2 celebrates an evolution of the original wrap with an updated silhouette that always finishes first. The Dirty Mo 2 features comfortable rubber nose pads and frame colors that range from classic matte black to camo and bold bursts of color.
Continuing the lineage of its original namesake, the MC3 is designed for the “work hard all week, play hard all weekend” bad ass. A twist on two beloved frames of the past—the MC and MC 2—the MC3 begs you to grab some cold ones and flip your system up to 11.
