Spring Brings Deals And Events To Colorado Ski Country
For skiers and snowboarders who waited a little longer than usual this year for maximum winter conditions, longer days and spring events are just around the corner. For those looking to try Colorado’s signature winter sports for the first time, spring’s sunny skies and warmer temperatures make it a great time to learn.
Spring in the high-country features bluebird skies, fun, family-friendly events and frequent snowfall. Resorts across the state will celebrate the spring season with discounts on lodging and lift tickets and will host events galore including free concerts, fat bike races, après ski parties and more.

Save Our Snow and Demo Day (March 24)
The 10th Annual Save Our Snow and Demo Day on March 24 will celebrate the spirit of conservation and local resources for sustainability in Summit County. Guests can visit the “Green Village” and demo some of the latest ski and snowboards from local and regional companies. Proceeds go to the High-Country Conservation Center.
Enduro and Après Party (April 11)

Aspen Snowmass
Perfect Storm Package (Today – March 31)
The Aspen Snowmass Perfect Storm package offers guests who purchase 4 days of skiing one free extra day of adult lift tickets and lodging. Guests also receive a resort card with deep discounts on everything from dining to shopping.
Spring Skiing Deal (April 1-15)
Aspen Snowmass will offer a spring skiing deal of 40 percent off lift tickets for guests who purchase a minimum of two days of lift tickets at least 7 days prior to arrival.
Spring Events

Lift Ticket Deals
Throughout the spring, Cooper will continue to offer $30 Thursdays, with $30 lift tickets every Thursday. Lift tickets at Cooper will be discounted to $25 from April 2-8 and $15 on March 9, which guests can purchase online or at the ticket window.
St. Patrick’s Day Party (March 17)

Feel Good Fridays
Copper Mountain will host Feel Good Fridays on March 2 and April 13. Skiers and riders can purchase an $85 lift ticket online with $5 of their purchase going toward the High Fives Foundation and local non-profit Adaptive Action Sports.
Copper Uncorked (March 24)
Copper chefs compete for the best wing recipe and wine pairing in this unique spin on a traditional chicken wing challenge.
Moonlight Dine + Ski (March 31)
Copper’s Moonlight Dine + Ski event will start with a ride up the American Eagle chairlift, where guests will be greeted by sweeping twilight views and an hour of intimate skiing or riding off the Excelerator chair. When participants are ready to kick off their boots, they can head inside Solitude Station and enjoyed live music by Beau Thomas, drinks, gourmet dinner and dessert. Sunset Soirees (March 13, 20 and 27)

The Town of Silverton and Kendall Mountain Ski Area will host the Spring Fever Music Series on Saturdays from March 3 – March 17. Loveland Derby (April 7 – 8)
For more than 50 years Loveland Ski Area has been hosting America’s largest amateur race, The Loveland Derby. Racers from across the country can dress up and travel to Colorado for the last race of the season. The event will include costumes, barbecues and fast-paced racing fun.

Rotary Red Ball Lottery (March 3)
To benefit the Grand Junction Rotary Club, Powderhorn will host the Red Ball Lottery on March 3. At 3 p.m., 100 gigantic red exercise balls will be rolled down a course on the slopes. Air Bag Jump (March 10-11)
Purgatory will host the Air Bag Jump in the base area for daring skiers and snowboarders ready to practice their aerial maneuvers by launching off a takeoff ramp onto an inflated air bag.
McDonald’s Cardboard Derby (March 17)
The McDonald’s Cardboard Derby at Purgatory is a classic winter competition. This family-friendly event will give guests the chance to build a derby racer out of cardboard and duct tape only, and pilot it down the slopes to win fun prizes. The Cardboard Derby encourages creativity, engineering skills and courage.
Annual Pond Skim (March 31)
For this classic springtime event, Purgatory will host the annual pond skim for skiers and riders to make their way across the pond. 16th Annual Brewski (March 31)

Clauson Classic (April 1)
The Clauson Classic is a classic Silverton Mountain endurance race. On March 3, Sunlight will honor Brad Lanpher, a long time Sunlight skier who lost his life to Melanoma Skin Cancer. The event will include a free testing clinic and other safety booths, plus discounted pricing on 2018-19 lift tickets. Proceeds will benefit the Melanoma Research Foundation.
