Snowy February Continues In Colorado
Colorado’s snowy February continues with another storm dumping double-digit snow totals across Colorado Ski Country USA (CSCUSA) member ski areas.
Wolf Creek Ski Area recorded 17 inches of snowfall in 48 hours, leading the state in accumulation. Silverton Mountain and Aspen Snowmass each received 14 inches of powder on the slopes, while Monarch Mountain saw a foot of fresh snow.
Telluride Ski Resort and Purgatory Resort in southwest Colorado each collected 11 inches of snow in 48 hours, while 10 inches fell at Powderhorn Resort. Skiers and riders at Sunlight Mountain Resort woke up to 9 inches of snow, while those at Winter Park Resort saw 8 inches. Elsewhere, Hesperus Ski Area received 7 inches of snow and Steamboat Resort enjoyed 6 inches over two days. Snow fell at all ski areas across the state.
Weather forecasts are calling for additional snow to continue falling through the rest of February and into early March.
