Commenting on the appointment, Snowsport England Chair Dominic McGonigal: ‘We were blown away by the quantity and quality of applicants for the role. James was the perfect fit for where we are now. As well as being rooted in snowsport, he brings incredible experience of commercial success through marketing and partnerships with top brands. That will be invaluable for Snowsport England.’

‘I would like to thank Maggie for the crucial work she did in the first two years of our 10-year strategy, building the organisation so we can deliver for everyone who loves snowsport. I am looking forward to working with James, with GBS and the other home nations on the next stage in our journey to grow participation and the talent pathways.’

James said ‘With a 30-year passion for snowsport, 20 years of family holidays and over 10 as a part time ski instructor and coach, I am delighted to be joining Snowsport England.

I’m really looking forward to working collaboratively with all partners and stakeholders to help deliver the Inspiring Snowsport strategy. A particular focus will be on strengthening our commercial proposition to drive participation and build pathways across our brilliant sport.’

James will start his new role on the 1st November.
