Snow Space Salzburg Receives 'Ski Guide Austria' Award 2022
Since 2011, innovative ideas, creative campaigns and outstanding projects that give ski areas unique selling points and Austrian winter sports impulses have been honored with the Ski Guide Austria Award. This year, the Snow Space Salzburg Bergbahnen were able to convince the expert jury with the generation project skiing over 12 peaks and 5 valleys.
With two new gondola lifts (Panorama Link and Flying Mozart) in Salzburg's Pongau, the gap between three ski areas has been closed in the last two years. The resulting ski connection is one of the most diverse and modern ski regions in the Alps. The Panorama Link gondola lift connects the Snow Space Salzburg ski areas with the neighboring areas of Flachauwinkl and Zauchensee and enables connected skiing fun over 12 peaks and 5 valleys.
"This honorable award from the Ski Guide Austria is once again proof of the high quality of our cable car project, this award proves to us more that the plan to create a seamless interface between the individual ski mountains by building the Flying Mozart and thus the skiing experience to optimize our guests has been a success,” says Wolfgang Hettegger, CEO of Snow Space Salzburg Bergbahnen.
Particular attention was paid to an ecological accompanying concept for the Flying Mozart cable car project. "With the decision to sunk the middle station including the gondola station into the ground, we were able to ensure that the station buildings blend harmoniously into the landscape and thus make a sustainable contribution to the development of the entire holiday destination," concludes Hettegger.
