Skiresort.info Picks Their World's Best Ski Resorts
The new 2024/2025 season is just around the corner. Skiers and snowboarders are counting the days and winter sports regions are preparing to welcome their guests. While the snow cannons are being put into position, the Skiresort.de team has been tirelessly testing and evaluating ski resorts. “For our continuously updated ‘best’ lists, we have personally tested over 500 ski resorts worldwide over the last few years,” said Oliver Kern, Founder and Managing Director of Skiresort.info, the world’s largest evaluation and test portal for ski resorts. Since 1998, the commendations have been regarded as the most significant industry awards by ski and snowboard enthusiasts as well as the actual ski resorts.
The world’s largest ski resort test portal, “Skiresort.info“ provides detailed and personal test reports on leading international ski destinations. Carefully compiled data on over 6,100 ski resorts on every continent also make “Skiresort” a comprehensive source of information for skiers. On the websites, winter sports enthusiasts can find around 3,400 piste maps, 900 daily updated snow reports, 5,300 weather reports, 5,500 webcams and useful information about new lifts. All data is also available on the free “Skiresort.info app”.
The company has been successfully established on the German market since 1998. The English-language platform “Skiresort.info” went online in 2010. The world’s leading ski resort portal, “Skiresort” is also available in Dutch, Italian and French versions. The test portal is operated by the Munich-based company “Skiresort Service International GmbH” with Managing Directors Oliver Kern and Peter Krafft. For the 2024/25 winter season, the company is forecasting more than 20 million visitors to its online platforms.
“Skiresort Service International”, the company behind “Skiresort” and the world’s largest supplier of snow reports, delivers snow reports to over 100 high-reach partners – it is also the leading provider of complete ski resort data and ski weather information.
The pioneers in ski resort evaluations
Worldwide, there are over 6,100 ski resorts in 86 countries. As well as a complete presentation of all ski resorts, Skiresort.info also compiles test reports for ski resorts all over the world. Since 1998, the professional testers from the Skiresort.info test portal have visited several hundred ski resorts on several occasions and evaluated each one according to 18 individual criteria. The key criteria include size, slope offering and snow reliability, as well as family friendliness, snow parks, accommodation at the slopes and environmental policy. The ski resorts can be awarded a maximum of 5 stars in each category. The average of all ratings, with different weightings, is then used to calculate the final score: www.skiresort.info/best-ski-resorts/
An enduring legend
The professional testers from the Skiresort.de portal selected Kitzbühel in Tyrol as the Best Ski Resort Worldwide. The legendary World Cup venue was awarded 4.9 out of a possible 5 stars, giving it top scores in practically all 18 categories. KitzSki was very closely followed by other ski resorts: “The quality differences in the top group are often minimal. For example, Tignes/Val d’Isère has a first-class slope offering with runs of all difficulty levels that appeal not just to experts. And practically no other ski resort has as many high-quality restaurants and mountain huts as Hochzillertal,” said Peter Krafft, Managing Director of the world’s largest evaluation and test portal for ski resorts.
