Skiresort.at: Highlights The ‘Best Ski Resorts In The World’
The new 2023/2024 season got off to a very good start with lots of fresh snow. Ski and snowboard owners are scratching their feet and winter sports regions are preparing for their guests. While the snow cannons were being positioned, the Skiresort.at team tirelessly checked and evaluated ski areas. “For our constantly updated list of the best, we have personally tested 500 ski resorts worldwide over the last few years,” says Oliver Kern, founder and managing director of Skiresort.at, the world’s largest test portal for ski resorts.
The pioneers of ski resort ratings
There are over 6,100 ski resorts in 86 countries worldwide. In addition to the complete representation of all ski areas, Skiresort.at has set itself the task of creating test reports from ski areas worldwide. The test professionals from the Skiresort.at test portal have visited several hundred ski areas since 1998, some of them several times, and evaluated each one according to 18 individual criteria. Decisive factors include size, range of slopes and snow reliability, but also family friendliness, snow parks, the location of the accommodation on the slopes and environmental friendliness. The ski areas can achieve a maximum of 5 stars in each category. The final result is calculated from the average of all ratings, which are weighted differently: www.skiresort.at/beste-skigebiets
A legend remains a legend
Kitzbühel in Tyrol was named the best ski resort in the world by the test professionals at the ski resort portal Skiresort.at. The legendary World Cup venue achieved 4.9 out of 5 possible stars and thus top marks in almost all 18 categories. This means that KitzSki was only able to leave other ski areas behind by a small margin. “The differences in quality in the top group are often minimal. Madonna di Campiglio, for example, stands for a first-class range of slopes with runs of all levels of difficulty that not only delight experts. And hardly any other ski area has as many high-quality restaurants and huts as in Hochzillertal,” says Peter Krafft, managing director of the world’s largest test portal for ski areas. Permanent best list If you would like to read the permanent best list again in detail, you will find all 500 detailed test reports and over 4,400 rated ski areas at: www.skiresort.at/beste-skigebiets The best ski areas can also be sorted by country and region.
