Skiresort Service International Highlights Their Best Ski Resorts In The World
The new 2024/2025 season is just around the corner. Ski and snowboard owners are champing at the bit and winter sports regions are preparing for their guests. While the snow cannons are being put into position, the Skiresort.de team has been tirelessly testing and evaluating ski resorts. "For our constantly updated list of the best, we have personally tested over 500 ski resorts worldwide in recent years," says Oliver Kern, founder and managing director of Skiresort.de, the world's largest test portal for ski resorts. Since 1998, the awards have been considered the most important industry award by ski and snowboard fans, as well as by the ski resorts themselves.
The pioneers of ski resort ratings
There are over 6,100 ski resorts in 86 countries worldwide. In addition to the complete presentation of all ski resorts, Skiresort.de has made it its mission to produce test reports on ski resorts worldwide. The test professionals from the test portal Skiresort.de have visited several hundred ski resorts since 1998, some of them multiple times, and rated each one according to 18 individual criteria. The decisive factors include size, range of slopes and snow reliability, but also family-friendliness, snow parks, the location of the accommodation on the slopes and environmental friendliness. The ski resorts can achieve a maximum of 5 stars in each category. The final result is calculated from the average of all ratings, which are weighted differently: https://lnkd.in/dxVUmTCA
A legend remains a legend
Kitzbühel in Tyrol was named the best ski resort in the world by the test professionals from the ski resort portal Skiresort.de. The legendary World Cup location achieved 4.9 out of 5 possible stars and thus top marks in almost all 18 categories. This meant that KitzSki was only narrowly ahead of other ski resorts. “The differences in quality in the top group are often minimal. Tignes/Val d'Isère, for example, offers a first-class range of slopes with runs of all levels of difficulty, which not only appeals to experts. And hardly any other ski area has as many high-quality restaurants and huts as Hochzillertal," says Peter Krafft, managing director of the world's largest ski area test portal.
