Skiing On The Glungezer Starts On December 8th

Tulfes On December 8th, the Glungezer ski area in Tulfes starts the winter season. The toboggan run from the mountain station of the Tulfein Express to the middle station and a panorama winter hiking trail are new. The popular touring evenings are also back.

The "Tulfein-Express" combined lift (6-seater armchairs and spacious 10-seater gondolas) from the Halsmarter middle station to the Tulfein mountain station, which was newly opened last year, once again offers the highest level of comfort when ascending to the slopes. Perfect panoramic views of the Karwendel Mountains and the Inn Valley, as well as over 23 kilometers of slopes are waiting to be experienced. Two designated winter hiking trails invite you to discover the wonderful mountain nature on foot. One of them is new: from this winter onwards, the Halsmarter panorama round takes an hour's walk from the middle station through the pristine winter forest in the direction of Stiftsalm in the Voldertal and over a recently laid out winter hiking trail back to the Halsmarter middle station.

New toboggan run over 3.5 kilometers

The "Tulfein Express" now also brings tobogganers from the middle station in Halsmarter up to over 2,000 meters above sea level. It goes down over 3.5 kilometers and ten hairpin bends back to the middle station. In addition to special, attractive tickets for tobogganers, there is also a toboggan rental at Alpengasthof Halsmarter. The touring evenings are also back this winter: every Monday and Tuesday the gondola lift to the middle station is in operation until 10.15 p.m.

Winter season 2021/22

This year's winter season starts on Glungezer on December 8th, 2021 and lasts until April 10th, 2022 (weather permitting). The Glungezerbahn is open daily from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The current Covid 19 regulations apply throughout the ski area.
