SkiBig3: $41,721 Raised In Support Of Jasper Wildfire Relief
The SkiBig3 Community Ski Days brought Bow Valley locals and newcomers together for three unforgettable days of skiing and snowboarding across the SkiBig3 resorts. Hosted by Banff Sunshine, Mt. Norquay, and Lake Louise Ski Resort, this event not only offered deeply discounted lift tickets but also served a greater purpose in supporting the Jasper Fire: Caring Community Fund.
Purpose of Community Ski Days
The intention of Community Ski Days is to encourage locals and new residents just arriving for the winter season to experience one, two, or all three of the SkiBig3 resorts while giving back to the surrounding community. For those who live, work, and play in the Bow Valley, these reduced lift ticket rates made skiing and snowboarding more accessible.
With 100% of proceeds going to the Jasper Fire Caring Community Fund, the event provided a meaningful way to support those impacted by the 2024 Jasper fire while embracing the joys of winter in the Rockies. We are proud to share that $ 41, 721.00 was raised to support recovery efforts in Jasper, helping to provide essential resources to those affected by the 2024 wildfires.
Weekend Highlights
The weekend began on Friday at Banff Sunshine, where skiers and snowboarders were treated to fine weather and plenty of open terrain. Saturday brought participants to Mt. Norquay, where a light dusting of fresh snow greeted skiers and snowboarders. On Sunday, the event wrapped up at Lake Louise Ski Resort, where fresh powder from earlier snowfall still blanketed the slopes.
Community Ski Days brought the Bow Valley together to enjoy the slopes and support a meaningful cause. With Banff Sunshine, Mt. Norquay, and Lake Louise Ski Resort, locals and newcomers got a chance to experience SkiBig3 while contributing to recovery efforts in Jasper.
Thank you to everyone who joined us for this event. Whether you skied one day or all three, your participation helped support recovery efforts in Jasper while embracing the beauty of winter in the Rockies.
