SKI NY Celebrates 40 Years - The Voice Of New York Skiing Since 1980

SKI NY celebrates 40 years of being “The Voice of New York Skiing”. Incorporated in 1980 as Ski Areas of New York, Inc. (SANY), SKI NY has led its membership through many changes in the ski industry, from snowboarding and climate change to the current Coronavirus crisis. SKI NY’s membership is made up ski areas, ski shops and industry suppliers.

SKI NY has adapted to the challenges including the ever-changing weather and technology landscapes. SKI NY hosts a yearly EXPO for the industry every fall, touted as the best regional ski show in the Nation we have hosted over 400 attendees.

They  remain true to their mission statement: “Ski Areas of New York, Inc. is dedicated to the continued growth of the New York snow sports industry by working on behalf of its membership to promote fair legislation, develop marketing programs, create educational opportunities and enhance the public awareness of snow sports throughout the State and region.”

SKI NY is also a proud partner with I LOVE NY to promote winter tourism throughout the State. Scott Brandi, President of SKI NY said, “40 years of service to our industry is a proud and meaningful event. We look forward to the future while dealing with current challenges.”
