Ski Line Introduces New Timetable Changes For Eurostar Ski Holidays To Preserve Seven Day Ski Holiday
One of the many advantages of a rail based ski holiday package is an extra day on the slopes and the Eurostar ski holidays from Ski Line (operated by Travelski Express) is reverting to the debut season timetable to protect this.
Recently confirmed extensive engineering works across the French rail network, taking place on Saturday nights/Sunday mornings, would adversely affect the overnight returns so Eurostar departures from St Pancras will revert to Friday evenings for the 2022/23 season.
This allows the return leg to leave Bourg St Maurice on Saturday morning, without affecting the length of the holiday. The returning skiers will get back into London on Saturday evening.
Skiline offers Eurostar holidays to its customers and has responded quickly to the changes.
Angus Kinloch, Managing Director of Skiline, said: “The key appeal of the Eurostar Travel Ski charter is good value, sustainability, and an extra day’s skiing. That hasn’t changed. We are sure this unfortunate timetable change will be understood by our clients. Ski Line will be offering a full refund to any clients, who can’t or don’t want to travel on the Friday evening. In an ideal world we prefer for our clients first day’s skiing to after a good night’s sleep and we will be reminding our clients to take it easy on their first Saturday skiing. Thankfully, Saturday is a “change-over” day in France and the slopes are often empty.
