Ski Club Of Great Britain Launches New Under 35’s Membership
The Ski Club of Great Britain has launched a new membership tier for anyone under the age of 35 that provides all the benefits of the club for less than half the normal cost.
For £35pp (instead of £75), the annual membership offers access to 100’s of discounts across all the Ski Club’s partners, the chance to meet and ski with the Club’s reps in 28 different resorts, personal liability cover, free Ski+Board Magazine delivered, access to the Freshtracks holiday programme and a number of other benefits, including tailored advice, snow reports and equipment reviews.
Typically for anyone spending around £1,000 on a ski holiday, ski clothing, airport parking, equipment rental and instruction, they would save over £80 with their Ski Club membership discounts.
The Ski Club has historically been known for its social programme and with reps expanding into new resorts that include the likes of Mayrhofen (Austria), Val Thorens and Meribel (France), Verbier (Switzerland) and Whistler (Canada), any member has the chance to meet and join other members both on and off the slopes.
James Gambrill, Chief Operating Officer of the Ski Club of Great Britain, said: “We’ve already got a growing number of younger people joining the Ski Club again, mostly looking to get the discounts on offer and meet with other skiers in resort. There’s obviously many ways for people to meet each other today but in a ski resort, if you know there’s a group of people that speak your language and enjoy the same things then having the chance to join them on the slopes or for a drink afterwards is a huge pull for our members and we know younger people are interested in this too. But that’s the icing on the cake when it comes to the benefits, because even if you don’t do those things, why wouldn’t you join just to get the discount benefits, advice, insurance options and access to exclusive holidays that include cat skiing in North Macedonia?”
Under 35 Ski Club member, Holly Boucher, said: “The savings with discounts alone are fantastic. The Ski Club is a great community for meeting new people and developing your ski skills further on ski trips or indoor ski workshops.”
Under 35’s membership costs £35 per person annually. Full adult (over 35) membership costs £75. Platinum Membership for under 35’s that includes the annual European travel insurance product offering the most comprehensive ski insurance in the UK for both on and off-piste skiing, costs £199.50 per person annually. Full adult (age 35-69) Platinum Membership costs £267.50.
