Ski Amade: Numerous Developments For The 2024/25 Winter Season
Ski amadé, Austria's largest ski association, is rolling out the white carpet for the new 2024/25 winter season and is once again investing 96 million euros in the quality of the ski areas. With a new ski school initiative, XXL sunny skiing with Snow Vibes and many other offers and innovations, they are well prepared for the coming winter.
96 million euros: investments for the coming winter season
Ski amadé is investing another 96 million euros for the coming winter season to continue to improve the skiing experience for guests. With these investments, Ski amadé is focusing on innovation and modernization of the infrastructure. The focus is on the constant improvement of the quality of cable cars, optimized snowmaking technology and the renewal of lifts and slopes. In addition, investments are being made in sustainability and resource conservation in order to reduce energy consumption and CO₂ emissions.
8-seater chairlift Kaiblinggrat: Most powerful chairlift in Styria
The new 8-seater Kaiblinggrat chairlift represents a huge added value for the Hauser Kaibling ski area and the entire Schladming-Dachstein region. Styria's most powerful chairlift will now transport 3,600 people per hour to the transmitter plateau at 1,870 meters in just 4.5 minutes. Waiting times are now a thing of the past. The world's only direct drive from Leitner ropeways called "DirectDrive" ensures environmentally friendly and energy-efficient operation. Another exciting new feature is the comfortable entry via conveyor belt. This allows children under 1.25 meters to automatically grow by 15 centimeters and thus sit comfortably and safely.
10-seater cable car Rohrmoos I: With a premiere in the 4-mountain ski area
The new, state-of-the-art 10-person Rohrmoos I cable car in the Planai-Hochwurzen ski area promises an outstanding experience for all winter sports enthusiasts. The connecting cable car from Schladming to Rohrmoos is designed to carry 2,400 people per hour. 30 panoramic gondolas ensure maximum passenger comfort, safe transport of children and the transport of alternative sports equipment. A first in the 4-mountain ski area is that skis can be taken into the gondolas on the new cable car and can also be left there. This makes getting on and off quicker and, above all, easier, and passenger comfort is significantly increased, especially for families with small children.

Ski amadé will be sending out particularly enjoyable vibes during the Ski and Wine Enjoyment Week from March 15 to 22, 2025, which will take place for the 15th time next winter. The ski huts and restaurants will be transformed into culinary stages under the motto "Skiing and Austrian wine". A culinary experience with wine tastings and a special supporting program awaits all gourmets, especially in the Ski and Wine Enjoyment partner huts.
In addition, there are these fine events in March: At the "Folk Music Ski Hut Roas", guests are treated to real folk music and regional delicacies in all participating huts in the Hochkönig region. Budget-friendly end of the season: Easter family campaign and Ladies Week
Free ski passes for kids are available at the end of the season with the Easter family promotion. If at least one parent purchases a 6-day ski pass, children up to 15 years old (born in 2009 or later) ski for free. The Easter Bunny also has many attractive events and offers for families in all Ski amadé resorts in his basket.
Ladies first, but not only. Despite its name, Ladies Week in Ski amadé is also for men. And it's worth it: If you book a stay in a participating accommodation facility from March 22 to 29, 2025, you will receive a second ski pass for free when you buy one.

Online early booking system: “Sensationally well received by our guests!”
But tried and tested systems are also being retained or expanded at Ski amadé. "Our online early booking system has been received extremely well so far and will of course continue," announces Dr. Christoph Eisinger. Anyone who books their ski pass early and online in the coming season will be rewarded with a particularly attractive price. And this is how the online early booking system works: The online price can be cheaper than the one at the ticket office. A positive side effect is that it also saves you potential waiting times at the ticket office. While ski passes can still be bought at the ticket counters at a fixed price as usual, the principle applies to all those who book online: the earlier you book, the greater the chance of getting a better price.
The online early bird system has been a fixed part of the Ski amadé booking process for two years now, with which Ski amadé is meeting the desire of many winter sports enthusiasts for more flexibility when purchasing ski passes. The best price is the price displayed in the new online ticket shop. Guests can see the price advantage compared to the regular ticket office price at any time. Online buyers can therefore be sure that they will receive the cheapest ski pass for the selected period at the time of purchase. Families in particular benefit from the online early bird system, as they usually plan their vacations in the longer term. But day visitors also have a chance to get a price advantage online. Of course, there is also a cancellation option for the flexible pricing system.
