Second Edition Of The PistenBully PRO ACADEMY Camp A Success
The second PRO ACADEMY Camp took place in Sölden where the PRO ACADEMY conducted training for managers, drivers and mechanics. The training courses are aimed at both beginners and advanced users who want to get the most out of the machine and software in their daily operations - including profitable exchanges.
In the first part of the camp, Markus Deutinger, PRO ACADEMY trainer, conveyed theoretical and practical basics about the possibilities, functions and connections of the SNOWsat solutions. The training content included SNOWsat Z, Fleet, Dashboard, ToDo, GIS and the brand new iX. Topics such as snow depth measurement, snow management, fleet management with analysis options for seasonal data, task management and the handling of geoinformation data were discussed in detail. Among other things, user settings and factors influencing the measurement results were explained.
For training purposes, there was a model ski area where what was learned could be applied immediately. This active participation on the laptop during the SNOWsat training proved to be extremely effective. This ensures the transfer from theory to practice and individual situations from the different ski areas can be discussed in the group.
Another focus of the camp was the practical driver training. Under the guidance of PRO ACADEMY trainers Roland Winkler and Anthony Bowman, the participants learned how to prepare on the Rettenbach Glacier. They learned how they can use the vehicle efficiently and in a resource-saving manner, for example when restoring worn-out sections of slopes or making optimal use of the existing amount of snow. Information on safety and necessary daily maintenance work was also provided.
The feedback from participants was unanimously positive. You feel optimally prepared for the coming season and appreciate the intensive exchange of experiences. There was plenty of opportunity to share experiences and receive new ideas. The PRO ACADEMY looks back with satisfaction on successful days and is already looking forward to the next camp in 2024!
