Schmittenhohebahn: Groundbreaking Ceremony For Ski Depot Held

Construction work to expand the ski depot at Schmittenhöhe / Zell am See-Kaprun's areitXpress began with the groundbreaking ceremony. Winter sports guests can look forward to it, because after the construction work, the spacious depot will offer space for up to 2,400 pairs of skis or snowboards. This innovation will increase comfort for visitors by allowing them to store their equipment safely and conveniently right at the valley station. This will make every day of skiing a relaxed and carefree experience right from the start.

Cooperation with Bründl Sports

The new ski depot is located directly next to the Bründl Sports Store at the areitXpress valley station. The extensive expansion, which creates an additional 600 square meters of space, is therefore being carried out in cooperation between Schmittenhöhebahn AG and Sport Bründl Gesellschaft mbH

The renowned HASENAUER.ARCHITEKTEN ZT GmbH, which has already implemented many projects in this area, is responsible for the architecture. The interior design of the new ski depot, as well as that of the new Bründl Sports Store, is being designed by the respected architecture and interior design firm blocher partners from Stuttgart. AIS Bau & Projektmanagement GmbH is responsible for construction management. The project is generally being implemented by regional companies.

More comfort for a comfortable journey

Two spacious lifts lead directly from the ski lift to the new ski depot. Guests can look forward to maximum comfort thanks to short distances. The practical box depot makes getting there particularly easy: ski equipment can be conveniently left on site, which means there is no need to load the car. The environmentally friendly journey by ski bus is also made even more attractive by the new ski depot with its 1800 boxes. This makes starting the day of skiing a pleasure - stress-free and convenient.
